2013 in Review

2013 in Review

What do you do when you're sick at home, your head hurts too much to do anything involving brain power? Good question, but if you notice that you did not write a summarizing post of 2013, you might as well try to copy/paste some info from various sources together.

Non-Board Games I've played/bought

  • Lego Marvel: Super Heroes (Xbox 360) - very fun game, sadly didn't finish it
  • EVE Online, for a few months even
  • nothing on Steam

Books I've read

  • The Princess Bride by William Goldman (Kindle) - not sure if I prefer the book or the movie
  • A Gathering Evil by Mike Stackpole (Kindle) - one of those free ones where you'll buy all the following books then
  • Evil Ascending by Mike Stackpole (Kindle) - part 2
  • Evil Triumphant by Mike Stackpole (Kindle) - part 3
  • XIII, Vol. 5-7 by Vance/van Hamme (German) - comics
  • Die Abenteuer des Marsupilamis, Vol. 3,5,8 (German) - comics, used
  • Aetherhertz by Anja Bagus (Kindle, German) - part 1 of an awesome Steam Punk trilogy
  • The Humble eBook Bundle 2 - I liked all of those listed
    • The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
    • Just a Geek by Wil Wheaton
    • Little Brother by Cory Doctorow
    • Shards of Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold - later bought 2 more of this series

Books from last year's list I did read after all

Books I didn't read (but bought anyway)

  • Foundation by Isaac Asimov - I think that was a filler to get free shipping
  • Alif the Unseen by G. Willow Wilson (Kindle) - It was 1 EUR and was recommended
  • XIII - Le Origini by Vance/van Hamme (Italian) - found in a used book shop in Venice, but my Italian is not good enough, started but unfinished)
